12. I found what looks like wood shavings in my basement, is this termites?
The answer to this question is pretty simple. If you see just a few ants or just one mouse, those few ants or one mouse have a whole bunch of buddies lurking where you can't see them. If you have even a slightly visible problem then you have a problem. Left untreated, you could have a crisis.

What are your "environmentally sound alternatives?"
We use state-of-the-art low toxicity chemicals that are much less harmful to people, pets, and their environments than what is currently offered by the majority of the pest control market.

If you have a feeling one treatment isn't enough to keep your house pest free, we offer a couple of different options.

How long do I have to leave the premises?
Because we use low toxicity chemicals, you can usually stay home during the treatment. Flea and spider treatments require you to leave for 2-3 hours. Roaches, ants, mice, termites, and just about everything else can be taken care of while you're relaxing on the living room couch.

What about pets and children?
Children need to leave during the treatment and may return 2-3 hours after completion. We ask that during treatments, you either put your pets in a room that is not being treated or remove them from the structure until the materials we have used are dry. Fish tanks need to be covered.

Another great benefit of low toxicity chemicals is virtually odorless pest control. No longer do you need to be reminded that you received extermination by a nasty, lingering odor.

Do you guarantee your work?
We stand behind all of our work. Should any problems arise within a reasonable amount of time after the completion of the job, we will return for no extra charge, completely hassle-free.

Can my children and pets be home for service?
For most services, yes they can. With our bait, aerosol and liquid products, we take the time to carefully apply them at the points where insects and rodents live and breed, and out of reach of children and pets. For the rare exception that fogging or aerosol bombs are required, children and pets (and you) must be out of your home for a minimum of 4 hours.
Of course, if you have any specific allergies or health issues, safety is always our first concern, and you should be out during and after treatment.

Do I need to empty all my cabinets before you come?
No, you do not need to fully empty all your cabinets. But, if your cabinets are heavily packed, we do ask you to remove about 1/4 of the contents so our technicians can easily move things around to get to cracks and crevices and potential entry points.

How can I have Bedbugs if I don't see any on my bed?
What makes bedbugs such an amazingly difficult pest to eliminate, is its ability to live in any crack from the floor to ceiling. We are just as likely to find them in cracks of a picture frame or ruffles on your curtain as your mattress. This is why we must take the time to inspect everything in the room.

What are your hours and can I set up a specific time?
For residential services we work with your busy schedule with appointments from early morning to early evening Monday through Saturday. For commercial accounts, we work 24 hours a day Monday through Friday. We always give you the exact day and time that is most convenient for you.

I found what looks like wood shavings in my basement, is this termites?
If you found wood, it is most likely not termites. When termites consume food - wood, cardboard, paper or any cellulose material, they bring it back to the colony. If you are finding wood shavings, you might have carpenter ants or beetles. But it could also be from rodents or debris left from drilling by a workman a few months ago. To ensure the proper treatment is done, please call our office for a proper inspection.
